A fire at Pinedale Elementary School on Sunday evening caused extensive damage to playground equipment after Fresno Fire investigators determined the blaze was started by juveniles playing with fireworks.
Fresno firefighters responded to the school shortly before 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a playground fire. Crews extinguished the flames, but the fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the playground equipment.
No injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, Fresno Fire officials said the fire was caused by unsupervised juveniles using fireworks.
The Fresno Fire Department reminded residents that fireworks should only be used responsibly and under the direct supervision of an adult.
Officials said reckless use of fireworks can lead to citations, criminal charges, and financial consequences, including potential liability for parents or legal guardians for damages caused by their children.
