Fresno Shooting on Blackstone Avenue Sends Two Men to Hospital

Two people were injured Tuesday morning after someone fired into a vehicle traveling on Blackstone Avenue in Fresno, police said.

The Fresno Police Department said officers received calls around 4:13 a.m. about a shooting near the southwest corner of Blackstone and Nees avenues.

Police said three people were inside a vehicle traveling southbound on Blackstone Avenue when an unknown suspect or suspects fired shots at the vehicle.

The 25-year-old female driver was not injured. A 21-year-old male passenger suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

A 23-year-old male rear passenger suffered gunshot wounds to both legs. He was treated at a hospital and released.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police did not release any suspect information.
