Chowchilla Police Arrest Two, Recover Stolen Gun After Shots Fired Report

Officers responded around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday to the area of 12th Street and Humboldt Avenue for a report of shots fired, according to the Chowchilla Police Department.
Police conducted a vehicle stop on a suspicious vehicle in the area during the investigation and located a stolen handgun inside.
The driver, Hayden Morley, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, both from Merced County, were arrested on multiple firearm-related charges.
Morley was also arrested on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Morley was booked into Madera County Jail, and the juvenile was booked into Madera County Juvenile Hall.
