Verizon Wireless experienced a possible outage Thursday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.
More than 2,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 3:44 p.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.
Most users reporting problems to Downdetector said they were experiencing mobile phone service issues.
Verizon Wireless did not respond immediately to GV Wire’s request for comment.
Update at 4:06 p.m.
Verizon Wireless gave GV Wire this statement, “We are aware of an issue causing wireless mobility and home internet service disruptions for some customers in and around Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue. We understand how important reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.
