Tulare County Authorities Investigating Armed Robbery at Delano Travel Center

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery reported late Wednesday night at a travel center in Delano, authorities said.

Just after 11:15 p.m., Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Akal Travel Center at 1748 Highway 99 after receiving a report of an armed robbery.

According to the sheriff’s office, a man entered the store carrying a handgun and demanded money.

No injuries were reported.
