Kern County deputies arrested three men Wednesday after stopping two box trucks carrying stolen Lego products worth about $1 million, authorities said.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of suspicious vehicles on the 400 block of Silver Queen Road.

When deputies arrived, the trucks fled the area, prompting traffic stops.

Officials identified the suspects as Jose Lopez, 37, of San Bernardino; Ruben Lopez Flores, 25, of Los Angeles; and Freddy Hernandez Polinar, 35, of Chino.

Deputies recovered the stolen cargo and two freight trailers reported stolen while in transit from Fort Worth, Texas, to Moreno Valley, California.

The suspects were booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, cargo theft, and conspiracy, the sheriff’s office said.
