Authorities arrested two individuals on firearm-related charges following a traffic stop and search warrant executed by the Visalia Police Department, officials announced.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Visalia Narcotics Unit and the department’s HOPE Team served a search warrant at a residence in the 3800 block of East Oak Avenue, according to police. Before the warrant was executed, officers detained Zachariah Viscarra, 37, during a traffic stop.

During the search of the home, officers located a dual-caliber Taurus Judge revolver in Viscarra’s bedroom, police said. A separate Colt revolver was discovered in the bedroom of a 16-year-old juvenile.

Viscarra was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on multiple firearm-related charges and child endangerment allegations, authorities stated.

The juvenile was taken into custody with assistance from YSO officers and booked into the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility on firearm-related charges.
