Fresno City Hall, shuttered for most of the past 12 months because of the COVID-19 pandemic, will reopen partially on Tuesday.
The city announced that the Panning and Development Department will offer limited in-person appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
However, city council chambers will not be open for its Thursday meeting. City Council President Luis Chavez says an air filtering system is still being installed and may not be ready in time.
Chavez is targeting an April 22 return date.
Planning Department Specifics
The city will require appointments that can be made online here. The city plans to provide building and safety, as well as planning services covering specific items.
Face masks will still be required.
According to the city, building and services will be limited to HVAC changeouts, re-roof permits, water heaters, and electric panel change-outs.
Planning services will be limited to inquiries about zoning or property information, inquiries on applications and approvals, viewing public documents, help with submitting applications and zoning clearance submittals.
