If you believe in polls, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-Anaheim) has an uphill battle in her U.S. Senate race against Attorney General Kamala Harris. But, that didn’t deter a group of current and former Valley politicians from meeting this morning at the Water Tower in downtown Fresno to show support.

Led by Rep. Jim Costa (D-Fresno), the group touted Sanchez’ experience and commitment to Valley issues. They also encouraged residents to vote. Joining Sanchez and Costa were:

Roy Rodriguez, former Orange Cove city councilman

Armando Lopez, former Parlier mayor

Andrew Dadasovich, Fresno State Democrats president

Jose Ornelas, San Joquain city councilman

Daniel Parra, Fowler mayor pro-tem

Victor Lopez, Orange Cove mayor
