Country music star Zach Bryan, along with members of his band, defied New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Friday night by wearing “Free Palestine” T-shirts at a Gillette Stadium concert, The Boston Herald reported.

The protest came weeks after Kraft blocked Macklemore from performing at Gillette because of the rapper’s pro-Palestine comments at other venues.

As Gillette Stadium’s official X account posted Saturday to advertise the second night of Bryan’s “With Heaven On Tour” stop, fans made their feelings known in the replies.

“Zach Bryan made Kraft look like a bozo,” one commenter wrote.

Another fired back, “You have a whole antisemitism database in your stadium and you’re just gonna let him do this?”

Sheeran-Macklemore Controversy

Variety reported on Sept. 16 that pop star Ed Sheeran and Kraft each planned to donate $2 million toward humanitarian relief in Palestine after Macklemore announced he would give $1 million from his earnings on Sheeran’s tour to organizations supporting Palestinians.

Kraft later said Sheeran, who had four supporting acts drop, had contacted him before Macklemore’s challenge and asked him to match a $2 million donation aimed at addressing the humanitarian crisis. Kraft agreed, bringing their combined planned contributions to $4 million.

Two days earlier, Macklemore had revealed that he was dropped from Sheeran’s U.S. tour after his pro-Palestinian comments and “Free Palestine” remarks during a Sept. 4 concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Messina Touring Group, promoter of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, told Rolling Stone that venue owners on the upcoming U.S. tour dates notified the promoters they wouldn’t allow a concert to take place with Macklemore in the lineup.
