Highway 33 is closed in Fresno County between Highway 198 and Coalinga-Mendota Road after a gravel truck overturned. (Caltrans)

Highway 33 is closed between Highway 198 and Coalinga-Mendota Road because of an overturned gravel truck, Caltrans said Wednesday.

Caltrans advised drivers to use alternate routes.

The agency said the estimated time for the highway to reopen is unknown.
