Small businesses in Fresno and across the country can apply for $10,000 grants through Verizon Small Business Digital Ready, the city of Fresno said on a social media post.

Verizon, in partnership with LISC, is awarding grants to small businesses throughout 2026. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and 10 small businesses will be selected each month.

To apply, business owners must register for Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and complete any combination of two eligible free online courses or events. Completing the courses or events unlocks the grant application.

Once submitted, applications remain eligible for consideration throughout the year. If a business is not selected in a given month, its application will continue to be considered for future selections.

Who Can Apply?

Owners of for-profit small businesses based in the United States, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands who are 18 or older may apply. Owners of multiple businesses may apply for one business only.

Applications will be reviewed monthly from June through December 2026. All applicants will receive a final decision by Jan. 12, 2027.

The application is expected to take no more than 30 minutes to complete.
