The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office is sending condolences to a South Carolina sheriff’s office after one of its deputies died following an on-duty car crash.

Charleston County sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hendricks, 33, was involved in a car accident while on duty Wednesday, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

Hendricks joined the agency in April 2023 and most recently served as a member of its Metro Unit.

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux and the sheriff’s office offered condolences to Hendricks’ family, friends, and colleagues.

“We send our deepest condolences to Deputy Hendricks’ family and friends, and ask that you keep them in your thoughts,” the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.
