Fresno Police Arrest Man on Multiple Child Sexual Abuse Charges

Fresno police arrested a 36-year-old man Wednesday on multiple felony charges involving the alleged sexual abuse and exploitation of a child, according to arrest and jail records.

Ernest Lopez was arrested at 12:59 p.m. and booked into the Fresno County Jail, records show.

Arrest records list felony allegations of committing a lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14 by force, continuous sexual abuse of a child, using a minor in obscene material, committing a lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14, and oral copulation involving a victim under 10.

The case is listed as originating Feb. 17, according to arrest records.

Jail records separately list Lopez’s bail set at $690,000.

Lopez remained listed in Fresno County Jail records following his arrest.
