Clovis police are investigating a hit-and-run after a driver was forced into a light pole when another vehicle struck their car and continued northbound without stopping, authorities told GV Wire.

Police said the crash happened around 6:40 p.m. Thursday on Willow Avenue near Spruce Avenue, just south of Herndon Avenue.

The victim told officers a black Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on Willow hit their vehicle, pushing them into a light pole. The victim complained of pain and was treated at the scene.

Officers were unable to locate the Tahoe, and PG&E crews were called out to address the damaged pole. Police took a hit-and-run report and are continuing to investigate.
