GV Wire’s Edward Smith talks with KMPH Fox 26 “Great Day” anchor Karl Cooke about a local doctor who alleges improper care of inmates at the Fresno County Jail.
Dr. Kanwar Gill shared his concerns with the Fresno County Board of Supervisors last week.
Wellpath, a private equity firm, is making decisions about inmate health care even though its representatives aren’t licensed doctors, Gill said.
Fresno County says it is reviewing the issues raised by Gill.
