Fresno CHP Reports 48 DUI Arrests, Zero Fatal Crashes During Holiday Enforcement Period

The California Highway Patrol in Fresno said officers made 48 DUI arrests and more than 1,000 citations during a three-and-a-half-day holiday enforcement effort aimed at improving roadway safety.

Officials reported 1,057 total citations, including 14 drivers cited for speeds over 100 mph, 80 seatbelt violations, and 26 distracted driving citations.

Officers also impounded 59 vehicles and issued 185 verbal warnings.

Despite the high number of enforcement actions, CHP Fresno reported zero fatal crashes during the holiday period.
