An evacuation advisory was issued Tuesday for an area near Bass Lake as crews responded to the Marina Fire, which had burned approximately 0.25 acres east of Oakhurst, authorities said.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office said the advisory covers Zone MAD-E0453, including the area around Road 274 and Marina View Drive.
Officials said emergency personnel were responding to the fire. No road closures were in effect as of Tuesday.
Authorities described the notice as informational and urged residents to monitor conditions and be prepared to act immediately if necessary. Residents were advised not to wait for an evacuation order to leave if they feel threatened.
Current conditions and any road closures can be monitored through Madera County’s emergency information system.
