Kingsburg Man Killed in Crash. Suspect Jailed on DUI Charges.

A Kingsburg man was killed in a suspected DUI crash Friday night near Orange Cove, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Eli Lopez, 27, of Kingsburg, on Monday.

Lopez died after a vehicle collision near the intersection of Manning and Hill avenues, outside of Orange Cove.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Jesus Zeferino, 24, of Reedley, was arrested.

Zeferino faces multiple charges, including DUI, DUI resulting in death, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to authorities.

Authorities also discovered Zeferino had an outstanding warrant for stalking, adding to his list of charges. His bail has been set at $222,000.
