Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Saturday, you can take your vacation plans abroad to the Exeter Post Office Passport Fair.

The post office, at 135 S. D Street, is holding a passport fair for residents of Exeter and surrounding areas from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Professionals will help you begin the process of gaining a passport, which routinely takes six to eight weeks this time of year.

Extra staff will assist all participants, and no appointment is necessary. And, there will be the opportunity to take passport photos at the event for $15.

It is recommended that attendees fill out forms beforehand. Application forms and information on cost and the application process can be found here or by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at (887) 487-2778.

Applicants must bring a valid form of photo identification, such as a valid driver’s license, government ID, or military photo ID. In addition, a certified copy of a birth certificate issued by the state you were born in (hospital-issued certificates will not be accepted) or an original certificate of naturalization or an old passport is required.

Ways to Ease Your Travel

Plan ahead and make future travels easier with TSA precheck. Precheck accelerates security screening, eliminating the need to remove shoes, belts, liquids, laptops, and light jackets.

Applications can be found here.

Get home faster through Global Entry, which expedited clearance upon arrival in the United States. The program allows members to enter separate lines, leading to a machine that will take a photo, verify membership, and provide further instructions. A CBP officer will confirm successful completion of the process. Applications can be found here.
