More than 5,400 Pacific Gas and Electric Co. customers in the Sanger area lost power Wednesday morning because of a storm-related outage, according to the utility.

The outage was reported at 11:24 a.m. and affected 5,418 customers, according to PG&E’s outage tracker.

The utility’s outage map shows affected areas stretching across Sanger, Centerville, and surrounding communities.

PG&E said crews would inspect the electrical system and make necessary repairs when conditions allow.

The utility has not provided an estimated restoration time.

The outage follows a separate power disruption reported at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday in the Clovis area that affected 7,295 PG&E customers.
