Vice President JD Vance faced questions about the Iran war, gas prices, immigration, and government corruption during a CBS News town hall Saturday in Michigan, The Washington Post reported.
Joey Amor, whose wife was among six U.S. service members killed in an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait, pressed Vance about military failures. Vance pledged to examine the attack.
Vance acknowledged high gasoline prices but blamed the Biden administration’s energy policies more than the war. He defended immigration enforcement while conceding his rhetoric on foreign workers had been imperfect.
He denied seeing corruption in the Trump White House and expressed confidence in Republicans’ Senate prospects.
