Tulare County Shooting Leaves Man Wounded Near Porterville

Tulare County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting Friday morning that left a 47-year-old man wounded near Porterville.

Deputies were called shortly before 8 a.m. to Road 256, north of Teapot Dome Avenue, for a report of a gunshot victim, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

When deputies arrived, they found the man suffering from a single gunshot wound to his back. Deputies provided medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived.

The man was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
