GV Wire will host a candidate forum featuring the two remaining candidates for the open Fresno City Council District 7 seat.
The forum is set for Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m.
Attorney Nav Gurm and community activist Ariana Martinez Lott will participate after finishing as the top two vote-getters in the June 2 primary.
Gurm finished first with 3,099 votes, while Martinez Lott received 3,079 votes. Neither candidate received a majority, sending the race to the November runoff.

The candidates are seeking the seat held by Councilmember Nelson Esparza, who is termed out.
GV Wire’s Edward Smith will moderate the forum, with questions focusing on the candidates’ visions for District 7 and issues facing the district.
The debate will be live-streamed on GV Wire’s Facebook page, allowing the public to tune in and hear directly from the candidates.
