Actor Tim Curry, best known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” has died at 80, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Curry died late Tuesday night at his Los Angeles home after dealing with serious health problems for more than a decade, according to TMZ. Police responded to the home at about 11:23 p.m., and no foul play is suspected.
Curry became a cult icon through “Rocky Horror” and later portrayed Pennywise in the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King’s “It.” His other film credits included “Clue,” “Annie,” “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” “The Hunt for Red October” and “Muppet Treasure Island.”
