Verizon Wireless Goes Down for Thousands of Customers, Downdetector Shows

Verizon Wireless experienced a possible outage Tuesday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 2,400 users had reported problems with the platform as of 11:45 a.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users reporting problems to Downdetector said they were experiencing mobile phone service issues.

Update at 12:38 p.m.

Verizon Wireless gave GV Wire this statement, “We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers in parts of Missouri and Kansas. Our engineers are engaged and we are working quickly to identify and solve the issue. Please visit our Check Network Status page for updates on service in your area. We know how much people rely on Verizon and apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate your patience.”
