The California Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that Highway 180 will reopen access to the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park later this month.

The reopening, set for 8 a.m. Friday, April 24, covers the section from the junction with Hume Lake Road down to Roads End in Cedar Grove.
