A student supervisor at Sybil Crookham Elementary School in Winton was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting three children, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were notified by school officials Wednesday afternoon about a possible child sexual assault involving a student supervisor at the school.

The suspect, identified as Edward Parsons, 34, of Winton, allegedly sexually assaulted three female juveniles — a 9-year-old and two 10-year-olds — authorities said.

Parsons was arrested in the early hours of Thursday and booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Office jail on three counts of felony lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14.
