A 49-year-old Clovis man was arrested Wednesday morning following a two-hour standoff at his home, police said.

Officers responded at 9:01 a.m. to a disturbance in the 2300 block of Menlo Avenue, the Clovis Police Department said in a statement.

The male suspect, later identified as Eric Hazelton, became combative and barricaded himself inside the residence.

Clovis Police SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Teams responded, and officers used multiple less-lethal options to secure Hazelton’s surrender.

He was taken into custody at 11:10 a.m. without serious injury, police said.

Hazelton faces felony domestic violence, battery on a peace officer, and criminal threats charges. The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office assisted during the standoff with aerial support.
