NFL Network analyst and Valley fan favorite David Carr is teaming up with local sports radio during the upcoming football season.

Carr will make a weekly appearance on the “CK on Sports” show, which airs in Fresno on KCBL (1340 AM), starting in September. The former Fresno State and NFL quarterback will answer questions from listeners during the new segment.

The local iHeartMedia/Fox Sports radio station is home to live Fresno State football broadcasts.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of iHeartMedia’s broadcasts this football season,” Carr said through a representative, adding he is “super excited for a fantastic Bulldogs football season.”

“CK on Sports” is hosted by local radio personality Christopher ‘CK’ Hall and can be heard on KCBL each weekday from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. The show is also broadcast in Bakersfield and Stockton.

In the new segment, called “The Audible,” Carr will discuss football at all levels, including high school, collegiate, and pro.

Carr’s weekly appearance is being sponsored by Valley Children’s Healthcare. Carr has a longstanding relationship with the local hospital and helped to bring about a new ten-year stadium naming rights deal between Valley Children’s and Fresno State that began this year.
