Fresno Memorial Gardens and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5057, along with the Central Valley Veterans, will host the 61st Memorial Day Service of Remembrance on Monday at 11 a.m. Over 1,400 full-size American flags will line the Fresno Memorial Gardens during the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5057’s official Memorial Day Program. Known as the "Avenue of Flags," this event features the largest display of freestanding American flags in the West. Each flag displayed has been given by the U.S. Government to the family of a veteran laid to rest in the Gardens.
