A 59-year-old man was arrested after deputies found firearms, including an illegal assault rifle, and narcotics at a Lake Isabella home, authorities said Thursday.

Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a weapons-related call at the 8500 block of Misty Court, the agency said.

During the investigation, deputies determined Timothy Powell was under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of firearms.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and discovered multiple firearms, ammunition, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Powell was arrested and booked into the Lerdo Justice Facility on multiple weapons- and narcotics-related charges.
