A recent Gallup poll reveals a significant shift in Israeli public opinion following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. The survey, conducted between Oct. 17 and Dec. 3, shows that only 25% of Israeli adults now support a two-state solution, a stark contrast to the 61% support a decade ago.

Furthermore, the hope for lasting peace has dwindled, with only 13% believing it’s possible, down from 29% in previous years. The poll also highlights a surge in negative emotions among Israelis, with record-high reports of worry, stress, and sadness.

Despite the turmoil, approval of U.S. leadership has reached an 81% high, while approval of Israel’s leadership remains stagnant at 45%.

“More Israelis (52%) continue to disapprove of his leadership than approve of it,” the report states, referring to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
