Kern County Authorities Arrest 8 During Oildale Enforcement Operation

Eight people were arrested during an enforcement operation in the Oildale area of Bakersfield, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday morning.

The operation took place June 17 and involved deputies with the sheriff’s office Metro Patrol Division, along with Kern County Code Compliance, Kern County Mental Health and Flood Ministries.

Authorities said deputies made five felony arrests and three misdemeanor arrests. Three misdemeanor citations also were issued.

During the operation, deputies assisted Code Compliance with removing waste and debris from the area.
