Merced Police Seek Suspect in Best Buy Thefts

The Merced Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who stole over $2,000 in merchandise from a local Best Buy across three separate dates and fled in a silver vehicle. (Merced PD)

The Merced Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a series of thefts at a local Best Buy.

According to authorities, the suspect shoplifted more than $2,000 worth of merchandise over three separate dates: Feb. 11, Feb. 12, and March 3.

Following the thefts, the individual reportedly fled the area in a silver vehicle, which police believe is possibly a Chevrolet Malibu.

Surveillance images released by the department show the suspect carrying boxes out of the store.
