A 22-year-old Porterville man was arrested following a three-month investigation into the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit took Dustin Ramsey into custody during the execution of a search warrant at his residence in the 600 block of West Westfield Street, authorities said. The investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Ramsey was booked into the South County Detention Facility. The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active.
