A 29-year-old man was arrested Thursday after authorities served a search warrant at a Merced home and found multiple firearms and illegal drugs, officials said.

The Merced County Sheriff’s Office, working with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, conducted the search at a residence in the 3800 block of Perez Drive as part of an investigation into prohibited firearm possession.

Investigators reported finding a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield handgun, a GSG-16 rifle, and an FMK handgun, along with about four grams of cocaine and eight grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

Authorities arrested Elias Camarillo and booked him into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and a felon in possession of ammunition.
