Fresno County Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Authorities Investigate

Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man early Thursday morning in a rural area of Parlier, authorities said said in a statement.

Deputies responded shortly before 3 a.m. to reports of gunfire near Academy and Adams avenues.

They found a man lying outside with gunshot wounds. The man died due to his injuries a short time later, authorities said.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name or age. No suspects have been identified.

Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are gathering evidence and speaking with residents in the area.
