Fresno County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man early Thursday morning in a rural area of Parlier, authorities said said in a statement.

Deputies responded shortly before 3 a.m. to reports of gunfire near Academy and Adams avenues.
They found a man lying outside with gunshot wounds. The man died due to his injuries a short time later, authorities said.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name or age. No suspects have been identified.
