Two men were arrested on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery involving high school students near Sanger High School and Sanger Academy, the Sanger Police Department reported in a statement.

The robbery occurred about 5:15 p.m. at 9th Street between Bethel and Cottle avenues.
According to Sanger police, three suspects approached four high school-age victims on foot. One suspect had a firearm and demanded, which the victims handed over.

Before fleeing, the armed suspect allegedly assaulted one of the victims.
Police arrested Ty Boissonneault, 19, of Fresno, and Colton Desantis, 18, of Sanger, in connection with the robbery and assault.
Both were booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of robbery, assault, and weapons violations, according to authorities.
