Fresno State fans soon will be able to own a piece of Bulldog football history.

Authentic turf previously used at Valley Children’s Stadium will be for sale starting next month, sports memorabilia company The Realest announced Thursday.

“We’re bringing a piece of Fresno State history to the Red Wave,” a social media post from The Realest read. “We’re proud to announce our partnership with (Fresno State Athletics) to transform authentic turf from Valley Children’s Stadium into one-of-a-kind collectibles.”

According to its website, The Realest is a dedicated marketplace and authentication platform specifically for sports memorabilia, along with music collectibles.

“We are making it easier for collectors and fans to own the most trusted collectibles in the world,” The Realest states on its website.

Turf options, potential prices

Pricing for Fresno State artificial turf was not immediately known.

But fellow Pac-12 member Washington State had authentic turf options for sale on The Realest, which could be similar to what will become available for Fresno State.

For $149.99, Cougars fans can buy a Gesa Field Turf Display mat created from turf removed from Washington State’s field.

And for $49.99, Cougars fans can purchase a Gesa Field Turf ARTiFact Vial, which game-used turf sealed in a display vial and hand-finished with red wax.

Fresno State replaced the entire turf of Valley Children’s Stadium in April 2025 to install its current surface — AstroTurf’s Pro Woven Series 3DM60 with RootZone Technology.

Fresno State’s football stadium, originally known as Bulldog Stadium, initially had a natural grass field but went with artificial turf in 2011.

The artificial turf has been replaced twice since, including in 2019.

Artificial turf sales represent the latest attempt by Fresno State athletics to generate revenue in an era of college athletics that demands name-image-likeness funding.
