Police arrested a man on Sunday morning after he was accused of stealing shoes and exposing himself in front of a child, the Visalia Police Department reported.

Officers responded to a report of a theft at DD’s Discounts on North Dinuba Boulevard, where a man had allegedly taken a pair of shoes.

While searching the area, police received another report of a man fitting the suspect’s description exposing himself in front of a 10-year-old child in the 700 block of West Prospect.

Officers located Michael Laue, 43, at the intersection of Dinuba Boulevard and Sweet Street, where he was found wearing the stolen shoes.

Laue was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of theft, indecent exposure, and annoying a child under 18, authorities said.

The stolen shoes were returned to DD’s Discounts.
