A two-vehicle crash Thursday investigated by California Highway Patrol officers from the Merced area left no one injured, but one of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol, authorities said.
“Fortunately, everyone walked away from this crash. The next time, that might not be the case,” the agency said.
Authorities did not provide additional details about the crash or indicate whether the driver was arrested.
The CHP urged anyone who sees a suspected impaired driver to call 911 and provide dispatchers with the vehicle’s location, direction of travel, and description.
The agency said reporting suspected drunk drivers could help prevent injuries and potentially save lives.
