A 67-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after Visalia police discovered methamphetamine packaged for sale during a search of a home near an elementary school, authorities said.
Officers with the Visalia Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, assisted by the HOPE Unit, served a search warrant about 8:39 a.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of West Houston Avenue.
During the search, officers discovered methamphetamine packaged for sale, along with additional evidence of drug sales, police said.
Authorities said the home was located within 1,000 feet of Houston Elementary School.
Maria Dalia Martinez was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility on narcotics-related charges, including selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school, police said.
