Willow Gardens, a three-generation family business that has served the Clovis community for more than five decades, will close at the end of its lease in December, owner Danielle DePrima announced in a social media video.

DePrima said her grandparents, John and Nancy DePrima, started Willow Gardens in 1974. The business has remained in the family for three generations.

“This is probably the hardest announcement I’ve had to make about Willow Gardens,” DePrima said. “After a lot of thought and some situations out of our control, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Willow Gardens at the end of our lease this December.”

DePrima did not elaborate on the circumstances that contributed to the decision.

Willow Gardens Plans Final Months of Events, Sales

Although the business is scheduled to close in December, DePrima said Willow Gardens will remain open for several more months and plans to make its final season a celebration of the customers who have supported the business.

“So many of you have been coming here for years,” DePrima said. “Some of you came with your parents, your grandparents, and you now bring your own children.”

She said Willow Gardens has become part of customers’ homes, gardens, holidays and family traditions throughout its 52 years in business.

“I want these last few months to be a celebration of Willow Gardens and that community that has supported our family for more than five decades,” DePrima said.

DePrima said additional information will be released about upcoming sales, events, important dates and memories from the business.

“From my family and our entire team at Willow Gardens, thank you for 52 incredible years,” DePrima said. “We hope you’ll come spend this final season with us and help give this very special place the send off it deserves.”
