Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of Our Community, known as PINC, has donated $95,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County to help expand the organization’s SMART Girls program, officials announced.

The donation was made possible through PINC’s 16th Annual PINC Party, held June 12 at Pardini’s, where more than 250 community members gathered to support youth programs in Fresno County.

The donation was formally presented during a check presentation Wednesday, marking the culmination of a nearly yearlong partnership between PINC and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County.

Throughout the partnership, PINC members volunteered alongside Boys & Girls Clubs staff at weekly SMART Girls meetings and special events, building relationships with participants and supporting the program’s activities.

“The heartbeat of every community are our youth,” PINC President Meagan Cavalla said. “When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of our entire community. This partnership has been about so much more than fundraising; it has been about showing these girls they are seen, valued, and capable of achieving extraordinary things.”

Cavalla said the donation will allow the organization to expand the SMART Girls program so more young women across Fresno County can participate.

SMART Girls serves girls ages 8 to 18 through age-appropriate sessions designed to build confidence, encourage healthy decision-making, and develop life skills. The program addresses topics including identity and values, body image, peer pressure, media influence, health, and wellness.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County operates 14 club sites throughout the county. The SMART Girls program is currently offered at four locations.
