Officers were investigating a collision involving a train Wednesday in the area of Yosemite Avenue and Gateway Drive, the Madera Police Department said.

Police said the intersections at Olive Avenue, 9th Street, Yosemite Avenue and Central Avenue at the railroad tracks just east of Gateway Drive were blocked by the train, and motorists were advised to use alternate routes.

Cleveland Avenue and Country Club Drive at the railroad tracks remained open for travel, police said.

Authorities said they would provide updates when the roads reopen.
