The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating a deputy-involved shooting that occurred after deputies responded to a family disturbance in Nipomo.

According to a press release, deputies were called on Sunday to the 700 block of Hill Street for a reported family disturbance. When deputies arrived on scene, an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Sheriff’s detectives responded to the location and secured the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities said additional details will be released as they become available. No further information was provided.
