Madera Police Seek Suspect in Chase Bank Robbery

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect accused of robbing a Chase Bank on West Cleveland Avenue.

On Thursday at approximately 12:50 p.m., officers with the Madera Police Department responded to the bank at 2147 W. Cleveland Ave. for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Patrol officers confirmed a robbery had taken place, and the suspect fled the area on foot.

Detectives with the department’s Investigations Division later identified the suspect as Jose Manuel Perez. Police said Perez is a Madera resident with no known permanent residence and has ties to Salinas.

Investigators are working to locate and apprehend Perez and are asking for the public’s assistance.
