Your route to Fresno Yosemite International Airport or to jobs and schools near there may slow to a crawl next week.
Fresno is conducting road work at two intersections along McKinley Avenue, affecting access to the airport.
The intersections at Chestnut and McKinley and Peach and McKinley avenues are being repaved.
Road Closures, Alternate Routes
It is recommended that drivers going to the airport use the Clinton Way entrance to avoid traffic. Those using Highway 180 should expect delays on northbound Peach or use an alternative route.
On Monday and Tuesday, Chestnut will be reduced to one lane in each direction near its intersection with McKinley.
McKinley will be closed to traffic with available detours via Peach and Cedar avenues.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Peach will be compressed to one lane in each direction.
And, on those days, McKinley again will be closed to traffic with detours at Chestnut and Clovis avenues.
