A Sanger man was arrested Wednesday night after police said he threatened family members with a firearm during a domestic disturbance.
Sanger police officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Faller Circle after receiving reports that a man inside a residence was threatening relatives with a gun, according to the Sanger Police Department.
Police identified the suspect as Alfredo Moreno Gonzales, 46, of Sanger.
Officers surrounded the home and attempted to persuade Gonzales to surrender peacefully. Family members and children were safely removed from the residence without injuries, police said.
After some time, Gonzales exited the home and was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives later obtained a search warrant for the residence and recovered a firearm and ammunition connected to the incident, according to police.
Authorities said Gonzales is a convicted felon currently on felony probation and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple felony charges, Sanger PD said.
